Week One of Mother Goose Time’s Alphabet Island curriculum started out with preparations for an island adventure.
Of course, this meant that we needed to make eyepatches and spyglasses, because the best way to explore an island is as a pirate!
We also made boats and played a matching card game. This game was great because it can with two sets of cards, so the boys could play together and individually. This allowed us to play a simpler modified version of the game for Booger and the more challenging version for Monkey.
The highlight of the week was when Mad Scientist and the boys hopped into the kiddie pool and used the foam puzzle pieces to make floating islands. Then they used their water guns to try to knock them over.
Thanks for stopping by! Next week we explore At the Beach.
