This week we finished up the Mother Goose Time “It’s a Small World” theme by learning about manmade wonders. We learned about The Great Pyramids, Machu Picchu, St. Basil’s Cathedral, The Leaning Tower of Pisa, and The Great Wall of China.
First, we learned about heiroglyphics and built a pyramid. Then we made a noodle city using Machu Picchu as inspiration.
The boys loved the St. Basil’s Cathedral collage activity. Booger opted for a hodge lodge look, whereas Monkey carefully placed his pieces, tested out different configurations before settling on his final design.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa invitation to create was another hit activity. Every time we do something with starch noodles they have a blast! This time we added toothpicks as an extra design element.
Thanks for stopping by! Next week we will begin our new monthly preschool theme, “Blast Off to Space!”
