I don’t know about your house, but over here, if the boys are using markers, it’s about guaranteed that the cap will not make it back on the marker. And if the cap actually does make it on to the marker, it definitely isn’t fully “clicked” closed.
This leaves us with a whole bunch of dried out markers…
How We Used Magic Stix Washable Markers
Over the course of the review period, we used these markers for just about everything. From arts and crafts, to handwriting/spelling practice, Magic Stix became our go to writing instrument.
The highlight was when we used them to do some Pokemon themed coloring. The boys were impressed with the variety of colors. They both decided to use their own color scheme when coloring the characters, but Monkey pointed out that if he had wanted to stay true to the original coloring, the 24 pack included all the colors he would need.
Magic Stix are unscented and non-toxic, which is a definite benefit for me because I am super sensitive to smells. They are also washable. With my kids, coloring is a full body experience, so hands, legs, faces, clothes, and occasionally the table is bound to get marked up. We had no problem removing marker ink from hands, legs, or faces with a baby wipe. The markings on Boogers pants came out is the wash (I did pre treat with a stain remover) and our table came clean with a bit of scrubbing.
I should mention that Magic Stix are quite juicy and did bleed through regular printer paper. In these pictures, there is a scrap pad beneath their papers to protect the table. The next time I print something for the boys to color, I will use card stock instead of printer paper.
I really like how Magic Stix work. The colors are awesome! Especially the super dark green! There are SO MANY greens. And lots of blues too for my brother! I love, love, love Magic Stix!!
Another winner from The Pencil Grip, Inc.! Even if these markers didn’t pass the 7 day no dry out test, they would be worth it for the color selection and vibrancy alone.
