We wrapped up Mother Goose Time‘s Rainforest Adventure theme by learning about the emergent layer of the rainforest. This week we learned that the emergent layer is made up of the treetops that reach higher than the canopy. In this layer, there is high temperatures, low humidity and high winds. It is home to small birds and butterflies.
Booger loved playing the Chutes and Ladders style Chasing Butterflies game. And can I just say how stinking cute the butterfly and hummingbird tic tac toe game is?!?
Booger is starting to get the hang of the monthly puzzles, although he still tries to jam the pieces in even if they don’t fit. He was so proud of his rainforest collage and it was so cute to watch him decide where to put each animal in his rainforest.
Thanks for stopping by! Next week we are going to be starting December’s theme Winter Wonderland.
