Eek! It’s December! How did that happen??!?
This week we began December’s Mother Goose Time theme, Winter Wonderland. The first week was all about snow and ice.
This month’s snowflake builder manipulatives were a hit! They went together really easily, so there was no frustration for Booger to build the shapes he wanted.
I loved this snowman activity. Monkey’s snowman perfectly reflected is goofy personality. The boys were pleased to realize that their names both had a’s and n’s in the same positions – Booger said “It’s ’cause we’re brothers, so we have to have the same!”
This month’s theme poster and I Spy glasses activity was so cute. The boys love racing to find the “hidden” pictures and then complete the activities on the back of magnifying glass. Monkey especially likes to take the “find anything” magnifying glass (his name for the blank one) and coming up with his own activity related to the item he finds.
We finished the week out by visiting our new penguin friends at the zoo. These are African penguins, so they don’t know much about snow, but then again neither do we living in San Diego! It seemed quite fitting!
Thanks for stopping by! Next week we will be learning about the Alpine Tundra.
